It goes between the engine front bearing and fan hub.
Make sure you tighten the hub down firmly, mine was a bit of pain because the internal thread in the hub was not cut perfectly.
Got it in the end though
ps, if you can get a second washer, it wont hurt to put one on the inside of the hub, just make sure it's the correct size.
