Flybarless Rotor Head Systems > Pitch setup for flybarless R50

I'm asking here because this would be the obvious place. Anyhow, I'm just about done with the conversion on my R50. I'm using the AP2000i w/gyros to aid in control. What I'd like to know is recommended pitch settings. This may be doing mild 3D. Right now I'm at +10 to -10 collective. What about pitch range on the elevator and aileron.

Thanks for any suggestions

Mark,
that is very interesting. I might also give it a go. Looking at my R50 it seems that the rods from the swash can go to the blade grips almost vertical and the rest can be sorted with phasing adjustment. Have you though how to lock the top half of the swash to make it spin together with the main shaft? Perhaps someone knows a part from another heli that would fit on a Raptor main shaft?

For the time being, I've gone the route that someone else showed me by modifying the washout arms and setscrewing the washout slider to the mast. I'm almost done. Just waiting on another gyro to show up. I post a pic soon.

Here is a shot someone else sent me.

Mark,
do you have a larger version of the photo, please? It is not easy to see what if going on.

I put a couple in my gallery that are a bit better. I've got the gyros installed and made a plate for the AP2000i last night. Just waiting for a new tail gyro and I should be ready to test fly.

Now I just need a fuselage to wrap it all in. Something with multiple blades. I love that sound!
