I am thinking about taking the plunge, as we fly at a public field, where any non- english speaking bonehead can come with his new trainer plank and shoot us down.

So, I was thinking about going with the DX-7, since my buddys at Futaba seem to be behind the curve on this one. My question is, how difficult is setting up the gyro and governor? I saw gyro setting screens on the website, but nothing about governor. I use the 611 gyro, and GV-1 governors, and I have a Revlock coming.

Wow, the ground was closer than I thought.

For something like the revlock you need a channel that you can assign to a 3 position switch. Then set "UP" for one headspeed "MIDDLE" for off and "DOWN" for a different headspeed. Any tx that supports this can run a revlock.

I'm running the DX7 on my Raptor 50 right now. I'm set up with the GV1 and 401 gyro with no problems. The 3-position switch on the upper left controls my headspeed. This allows for a normal, idle-1, and idle-2. The upper right switch is my hold and overrides the governor. It all works flawless.

These 2 posts should cover everything you need to know to setup a governor and a HH gyro for the DX7
