Seems the binding clip for the Spektrum system doesn't like the plug off of the switch to use as a binding port.

It looks as though I need a jumper from the receiver battery connection to the plug coming from the regulator so I can plug in a battery and switch with a charging jack. I then use the charge jack plug off of the switch for the bind clip.

I know these things aren't suppose to loose communication once you go through the proper binding sequence but there's no way I'm getting to the field and not flying one of my helis because what wasn't suppose to happen... happened. At least with the jumper I don't have to remove the receiver from the compartment on my EVO's or unwrap the receiver on my Stratus.

Anyone else think of an easier soultion?

Just bought a AR 6000 Rx for my Zoom - this uses a Bec from the ESC.
The insructions for Binding come with the Rx and states- plug the ESC lead into a spare channel and the Binding Plug into the battery channel - This worked and the Rx went into binding mode, and subsequently matched with the tx.
Hope this throws some light on the subject or am I telling my Grand mother how to suck eggs!!

Thanks for the help. What I did was to add a short extension to the battery power port on the receiver that is accessible once the receiver is all wrapped up. I can attach a standard Nicad and switch to that allowing me to bind through the charging jack on that switch.

I understand that it is highly unlikely that the receiver and transmitter will loose their link but it has already happened once. I drive 40 minutes to my flying field therefore I will be able to cure the issue if it happens again with little effort.

Thank again.

Suck eggs? That's gross!!!!!!

I'll have to get that looked at. Maybe I need to "Re-Bind" my keyboard.
