I have installed G2 on my work laptop and wanted to take the dummy controller on the road with me on business trips. I bought a PCMCIA MIDI Traveller - MIDI Port adapter from EXP last week. This will be used on a Dell Latitude 800, but I notice on the box that it states compatability with Win 95 and 98??? Anyone use this item on Win 2000 Professional?

Anything I need to know regarding getting my controller to work on G2 on this machine?

I am using a PCMCIA MIDI Gameport adapter on my Dell Laptop running Windows XP. Works GREAT!

G2 on laptop

I am using G2 on a IBM Thinkpad. I use the Realflight controller through the USB port. I have it plugged into a USB to Gameport converter that I purchased from www.usbcable.com. It works perfectly, gives me the ability to use other joysticks and also gives me about another 3 feet of cable length. This is good for me as I use it at our club meetings for people to fly.

RF Controller on USB

Just a follow up - I also got mine working. RF Controller, to Game port adapter (from Radio Shack) (use the wheel setting), to USB port on Dell Latitude. With the latest version 386 and Fog off,,, It works. I did have to edit the realflight ini file to show the controller =1 instead of -1 then it would let me bypass the joystick driver install and all was OK.
