Finally, and with a lot of trial and error but I'm taking pictures now. I love my xcell and mount from airfoil. It took a long time to build and my experience with heli's was very little but I got it.
John helped a lot, I have nothing but good things to say abut the guy.

I run "Redline" synthetic oil and 91 octane Texaco gas. This is as per Zenoah's manual.

John reccomended some carb settings and those appear to be running great.

Got some tail hits prior to John's assist.

Plug always looked good.

I have a shake that goes on at a certain low rpm but once I go past that point, all is well. When I run the xcell on just it's skids and not the mount, on the concrete, the heli shakes at that rpm a little too hard to be comfortable. It's not the blades spinning themselves out because it happens everytime. On the mount, the foam absorbs the shake enough to make it tolarable. The shake only appears for about 1.5 seconds during a gradual spin-up or spin-down. When hovering, heli is almost vibration free. I'm stumped on this one.

Thank God for Realflight, that's a powerful tool for the novice.

Xcell's manual is great and the parts that came with my kit were all there. Really, this has been a learning curve that has been a lot fun for me but I sure ain't done yet!

Here is a link to a picture I got on Sunday between storm fronts.

Nice picture

Hey James - finally the picture! Doesn't look like too much of a crowd out there- ha ha. You might check out the "gasser gyro location" topic that is up recently. Having the gyro right next to the spark plug/ignition might be some of the tail wiggle.
Hope the antenna is back & you've got some more flying in. My Raptor blew the side out of the header part of my Weston pipe, so the R52 is down until I find a new exaust system - those Webra's are powerful! The Crazy Max is running well too.

Hey Terry,

I was wondering about that gyro location but since you were out at my place, the tail hunting has been a lot better. I'll check the topic.

I put the rappy in the dirt so hard I almost had to pick it up with a dust pan.

I was trying to do a flip in idle up. (first time)
I don't know, the tail started spinning and I couldn 't recover.

I rebuilt and am ready to fly it again tomorrow, after I paint it with my hippy colors.

You need to get over here before I try it again.

I soldered the ant. and did range check.
