Guys, just want to share this e-mail from one of our club member, if he has not posted here yet. Please keep an eye on it, This is sad and makes me very angry.

Gentlemen,

A good friend of mine was mugged while flying his TREX in Almansor Park in Alhambra yesterday morning. Although he managed to fight off his attackers and keep his TREX, they did get away with his new Futabal 14MZ.. The two attackers are described as young hispanics, one with a mustache. They were driving a late model white Nissan Altima with a license plate beginning with "3E21_ _"

The radio can be identified as his name, "TIM PHAN" shows up when it is turned on.

Please contact Mr. Phan at 626-831-5561 if you see or hear anything about this radio.

Is he alright??What the hell is the world coming to....I hope you guys catch the useless garbage that did this,and I do mean you guys because we all know the justice system won't do squat.Maaannnnn....mugged while flying a heli.....

I don't know the guy that got mugged this is just third party info. that I got from a mass mailing to our club members. I don't know if he got hurt, but there was definately some physical contact. This really makes me very angry scared because I sometimes fly by myself at our local field. I will try to get more info. on the owner.

Wow! The car and plates.....hummm I am not 100% sure. I swore I saw those California plates/Nissan Silver Altima with 2 hispanic males driving towards Phoenix. Hell they tried to run me over while I was on my motorcycle.

The two guys are caught by the police already. Looks like they have been stealing a lot if stuff from people lately but the 14mz was nowhere to be found. There's more info over on RCG.

I guess I'm a little late, I didn't know it was already posted. Glad the bad guys were caught, I hope he gets his radio back, and that no one in this hobby buys the radio, it just supports these kind of people's actions.
