| NazI ran a 5mm carbon rod on my Tiger 50's directly under the boom for over a year with no support, when Steven started flying his Hurrican 50 with a 611 and actually does alot of tail manuvours and really working the tail I decided to add just one support directly behind the horz fin, with the cf rod and the servo turned into the frame and the horn pointing down I used the 3rd hole on a 4 hole horn as shown in the 611 manual (approx 13mm) and this puts the rod at a slight down angle from the boom where it connects to the servo horn and gives it a great feel with plenty of tail authority, I use two tiny pieces of thin servo tape and place it on the boom, then just snap the rod support over the tape and put a zip tie around the clamp and your done, the rod just barely rests on the bottom of the support clamp and it's only there to prevent the rod from bowing or from falling off the heli if it were to get unsnapped off the ball, (haven't had that happen with a rocket city link ever and I've been using them for 3 years)
That's my setup,
Clyde
PS Rusty and I talked and you'll be receiving a little "gift" from Foxden in the mail soon looks like Steven's little pride and joy is going to be a twin
