Help!!!!!!!.......can any one help? I'm getting ready to start prepping the fuz of my carbon Lady and I'm stuck as to wether to attach the tail section before spraying ....or leave it off and spray seperately.
I've also changed the 2 fixing bolts for 3 seems a bit more sensible to me.

Can any one help with the tail dilemma???

The tail boom should be epoxied to the fuse. The two bolts they give you in the kit just helps in alignment and holds the boom in place while the epoxy is drying.

Leave the bolts in there as they are not hurting anything. The tail booms are not made to be removable. When filling gaps between an object and the fuse, try cutting some fiberglass cloth up with scissors into fuse, mix that with 30 min epoxy, and brush on the area you want to fill. Heavy duty strong.

Looking good........when do you expect to finish?
yep mine is the c/f version running the Rossi 65, I'm a bit disappointed with the fuz tho, there are alot of pin holes and faults to fill.
I'll have to email you the photo's of just before the rub down.

Coop,
I am hoping to get it finished soon as I can, my Airwolf almost been a hangar queen for a year since i got it, now I got all the neccessarily parts to complete it. Likely It will be ready for maiden flight next spring, can't wait
Sorry to hear you have so much pin holes on your c/f fuse. I know it's a bit more expensive than this gel coated one, i think yours would be stronger than mine though. Did you get your retracts installed and mechanic seated?.. Will be waiting to see about your photos. Joe's been very helpful on our project. Thanks.

Thanks for the photos. a little bit small but looks good. You should have join the tail boom and install your drive shaft then after everything is done (less electronics and fuel tank) you should take the fuse and wet sand it down good with 320 grits paper. Fill the pinholes and the seams and wet sand it down again til there are no more pinholes. Use 2 parts primer for the fuse. refill any pinholes if necessary then sand it smooth .. then paint it. I haven't quite get to that stage yet. will update my photos as it goes.

Boom is now bonded (thanks Joe) it's taken a good five hours of rubbing down with a scotch pad to scuff the whole fuz up, hopefully I'll get to put a mist coat of primer on to find all the faults some time this next week.
