In october i sold oopsididitagian a JR8103 thatmust came back from jr and passed all tests. I ssold it too him for 100$ because i didnt have the stock charger, and it had been through some wear and tear nnothing major(scrath here or there and i told him this) he was very scepticle because i gave him such a good price, he quizzed me for about two hours and finally bougt the radio, i even had another guy back me up to say it was a good radio(i choose to leave him out of this not his problem). So finally he recieved the radio and said the aftermarket charger i provided didnt work, which i know it did because i have used it, checked it before a shipped it because another guys name was on the line. So after a while of him trying to haggle me(ill give your 90$ or what not) i just said ill just refund you (i had'nt spent the money and was ready to refund as i had put another guys rep on the line) so i refunded him on novemeber 7th. I refunded him the 100$ so then he tried to just say nevermind and he will keep it and give me 90$, already feeling bad about selling it for 100$ i said no i would much rather just get my radio. So after this he replied well then you pay for shipping back, i said ok once i get it i will pay you shipping. Now he has not replied to any emails or pms i have sent him, he hasnt been on here since the 14 so im giving him the benfit of the doubt.

Sorry to hear it. As the former "Heliman13", you now see what it feels like to get screwed.

It does sound like the guy got the radio and at least played with it. He posted about it in November asking what version of radio it was, and still sounded skeptical since you sold it for so little. A lesson for the future: If you sell something at TOO LOW a price, people will suspect that there is something wrong.

Again, sorry to hear about your deal gone bad. Regardless of past events it's bad to have anybody scamming people on this site.

Try to work it out with the buyer. If it doesn't work out, you might just have to write this off as a loss. You lost out on an internet deal. It happens.

Look at it this way: If you crash your heli it can easily cost you $100.

It's just part of the cost of the hobby. If you can't afford to lose the money then don't play the game; which means limiting your purchasing to reputable hobby establishments and selling only in person to local guys.

But if i pay 100$ to fix a heli i didnt just give it to some scum bag who wants to steal from me. Time to do some research.

You're looking at this the wrong way. If you crash your heli, you often gain valuable knowledge in the process that prevents you from crashing again for the same reason. That, plus the fact that you had fun before the crash make it worth it. Having lost out on a deal, you also gained valuable knowledge that hopefully can help you aviod such problems in the future. I trust that you got some use and enjoyment out of the radio before you sold it.

Heck, I have stuff lying around in my basement that I'll probably never use again. It costed me money to buy, and I enjoyed the use of the stuff. Even if I never recover a penny from this stuff, it still was money well spent.

Oops is a nice guy, new to helicopters I think. Met with him a couple times to talk about heli's. He bought me a drink at one and had it waiting for me. He also saw me at a restaraunt one night and bought my dinner out of the blue.
I had that 8103 in my hands and tested it. Worked fine on the bench but I did not test the charging of it nor in the air.
I have his phone number and will tell him you are looking for him. He is a super nice guy, I'm sure there is just a misunderstanding somewhere.
