e-MS Composit Hornet > Duzi BellHiller trouble......?? Need some help..

Guys,

I've collected an entire set of Duzi upgrades over the last year or so and just getting to the build in a new X3D.

While using the Duzi Head in conjunction with his BellHiller mixer I get binding. The Duzi head is top notch quality and rotates freely as well as the mixing arms when they aren't attached to the blade grips. I'll do my best to explain it. I can only guess Duzi has know about this problem and will need to send me some shorter spacers.

Anyhow, in order to use the BellHiller mixer, I had to remove each ball (on the blade grips) and replace it with a tapped spacer. Once I slip the mixer arm over this spacer (with the flybar assembly in place) to secure it in place the trouble begins. The spacers are just a tad bit too long which is adding pressure to the mixing interaction causing it to bind. Has anyhone else had this problem?

I'm also having a hard time understanding how he wants E020 of the the adjustable link (that attaches to the top of the swashplate) to connect to the end of the mixer arm? Is there are diagram error or does he really want you to pass the screw through the entire bearing before screwing E020 into place? Do you know what I mean?

I don't know what to say about your binding - My ball replacement shafts are the right length and I don't get any binding -

The E020 links fit around the bearings (bearings inside the E020 slots) with a tiny washer between on each side and the bolt through the works - It's tricky to get the tiny washers in place without losing them.

I figured E020 would have to slip over the bearings (not what the diagram says) BUT fitting E020 over the bearings seems kind of shotty because the gap of E020 isn't large enough. You know what I mean?

I'm really boggled by the binding. It's more so on one side than the other but I guessed this couldn't be normal. I'll try flipping the mixing are with the double ended bearings around to see what happens. I have an e-mail into Duzi.

Besides this trouble, I can't help to say how much I like the quality of Duzi's parts. They are just awesome!

The tiny washers between the E020s and mixing arm bearings spread the E020s enough that they don't pinch the mixing arms so they pivot very freely riding the inner cyclinder of the bearings - The use of the E020s does look kinda shoddy in junction with the Duzi stuff but it does work quite well with no complaints here other than the trick of assembling it with the tiny washers.
