Hello All

I like the simplicity of the design.

Check my galler for pictures.

Man I haven't heard of anyone playing with flybarless Hornets in a long time - How does it handle? Pitchy / Squirly at all? Aerobatic?

Here's the vid of the first flybarless Hornet I ever seen -

I was scared of 'em - Figured they'd be a handful.

I currently have 2 blade flybarless and 3 blade flybarless Hornet CPX. They seem to be more stable than flybar versions. I fly them with MS Composit weighted blades used for 3 blade CH-46 Chinook. I love these blades because they provide the stability needed for scale flying. If you are into serious 3d than go with weighted carbon blades.

Mine barless hornet is pretty darn stable. I feel very comfortable flying it around in some wind. I havent flipped or rolled this little guy, I save all that for my supercharged Swift But with the cyclic response I have Im pretty sure it will do some aerobatic manuvers. I need an Rx a bit more reliable than my old Berg before I try any aerobatics.

Hello

I didnt realize that MS made weighted blades. Its very good to know because Im using a custom set of blades made by John K. I dont have the time to make high quality woodies like John used to make so this is a good alternative.

I have put quite a few more flights on this barless Hornet and Ive got it pretty dialed in now. I moved the gyro under the undercarrage(refer to my gallery) and has helped to reduce the wag in the tail. Minus a very slight wag this heli flys extreamly well even in wind.

BTW how much flight time do you guys get on your Hornets(flybarless or flybar). My Hornet preforms the best with a 3s 730 prolite and flys for 8+ mins.

MS Composit doesn't make weighted blades original Hornet CPX. They do however, make weighted blades for Hornet II and later versions. I have converted my Hornet CPX so it will take the Hornet II blades. I prefer the fiberglass/plastic weighted blades for the flybarless. They are not for 3d or any hard manuvers because tail boom strike is inevitable due to lack of stiffness. I exclusively use TP 1320 pack for my Hornets. They give me approximatley 8 to 10 mins of easy flying and hovering. I can't do anything fancy because when it comes to flying I am a novice.
