I try to build boom support rod for my ECO 16 by myself. Does anyone know about the length of CF rod? or distance from frame to Boom Horizontal Fin Clamp?

I doubt the length is critical. The CF rod on mine is 15 3/8 inches. The total length is slightly more because of the (short) ball links at each end.

The only tricky bit in making your own will be making a good clamp to fit around the boom.

You get the point, I have built my own boom clamp as shown in the picture. I don't plan using horizontal fin on it. I will let you guys know how it fit.

I agree the position is not that critical, I plan to put it at 2/3 from frame. I ask because I wnat to make sure I'm not doing things way off.
