I was at our flying field the other day and someone had an old driven head gyrocopter. Robbie I think it was. It used a PTO from the front of the motor to start the head spinning. Then it disengaged. Does anyone still make something like this?

Stu? Yea, it was at Mather. That thing was pretty cool. Couple of weekends after that though I saw someone out there with a gyrocopter that didn't have a driven head. The guy couldn't get it to fly more that 20 ft. And there was a nice breeze blowing straight down the runway.

Eric.

Looked like fun to fly. May not be able to do Tic Tocs with it but it still looked like a blast to fly.

Not to mix business with pleasure, but I make a couple
small electric driven head gyrocopters.
