Hi there everyone sorry if this has been posted before but I fly a titan with metal head and am selling my other heli a 90 se to fund another 50 to thrash around with. was looking at the knight 50. looks nice with all the metal bits but how does it compare to the raptor in build and flight. looking for 3d stick banging type stuff fast flips rolls etc.can someone who has flown both give there views as I can ony get + - 11 degrees with the rappy head befor it binds and with the zero governor fitted and os hyper mp2 could use more pitch but limited with the head design. with the choice of picking only one heli would it be a titan or the knight.any views from you boys would be greatly apricated.

I have 2 raptor 50`s and 2 Knights,1 full metal one and 1 is the new Sport version..

Both Knights fly equally as well as the Raptor and are smoother and more 3dable out of the box

I actually prefer the Sport version as its a bit lighter than the metal one..Also you can get plus and minus 13 degrees of pitch

yea right now i have 11 both ways on the pitch of my knight. I have got to say they have designed a good 3D heli, the high CG is good, knifeedge tic tocs are suberb best ones i have ever done are with the kinght. The metal head version flies super stable, almost like 60. I had flew my raptor at a FF then flew a knight i was impressed within a couple 3 or 4 minutes!

I've also been looking at Knight 50 but as first heli.

I am total beginner, but have been practicing on a sim and buying up tools and avionincs. Now the big decision is which heli. At the local club they fly pretty much everyithing from Vario to Hirobos, to Avants, to Audacity Tagers, etc etc. But one of the guys at the club is a field rep for Thunder Tiger.

Anyway after much research i am leaning towards the Knight 50 as my first heli, is it too much of a heli for total noob and is it available as a buildup kit, rather than an ARF?

I know the metal version is not a build up kit but dont let that discourage your purchase, you have lots of help with any questiions yu may have here in RR.

i think the raptor titan would be slightly easyer to put together then the knight for a beginner.the main thing is the knight runs ccmp which tends to have a slightly more powerful control but needs to be set up with care.i had a pred gasser ccpm and it took some time to sort out interaction between the controls also in a crash you take out the gearsets.on the other hand the raptor has a good manual and you only use one servo for each control so can get away with running cheaper servos with good results.i have a raptor 30 ,50 titan and a 90se and wish i had missed out the 30 as after 6 months i was after more power.i to have been toying with selling the 90 and geting another 50 as want to progress more into 3d the knight looks very tempting high spec good pitch range on head + - 13 degrees cheap spares titan only muster + - 11 before binding but nice to fly.anyone no if knight can swing 620mm blades or not have flown both sizes perfer 620mm.any way this is only my view as i have had lots of time on raptor and none on the knight.

Schtirlitz,

I have not flown a Raptor (I would like to do so at some point). I can say that the Knight is extremely easy to fly. I have about 40 flights on the all metal version.

I fly a raptor 50 titan, I have had no problems with the raptors, but the knight is not a bad heli

one note on the pitch you can get the kasama head for it wich gives you +/- 13.5 or the G-Force with 15

You can't go wrong with eather of them!
