Looking for someone to plot sideframes that i have got into a useable file to use with a laser cutting machine. Would prefer someone based in uk. or if anyone has already done this

i could do it with 02 software if i had a tech drawring but im not in the uk and if you want it on a laser cutter you have to direct link the computer to the machine if you want to put it in a floppy disk you could precision mill it on a cnc billet machine

Hi, Just come across this post, know its a bit old but if you still need help I have drawn many frames in AutoCAD either from scratch or from original components.

Most CNC equipment post processors will accept .DWG files, if you still need help let me know, I am in Liverpool, UK

i am i need of this service i have the physical part but have no expertise in converting to a dwg file . i need them in a CAD format to have a local shop cut them out for me from different materials

All you need is a cmm and save the dimensions as a dxf file. Solidworks reads dxf and makes easy programing for cnc.

our latest wenzel based laser probe has been consistantly give up a repeatability of 0.0003" or better. Pretty spendy though.

Couldn't you just scan the frame and convert the lines to vectors and import them into CAM, Autocad, SolidWorks, etc.

The next best thing would be to just reverse design them. In other words, just recreate the frames in CAD. Then print them out in 1:1 scale. Lay the existing frames over the print out and make adjustments as necessary. That's what I did for the Raptor frames below..

I have had people send me frames from as far as Canada to be drawn, PM me if you want to send over I will do it FOC so it will only cost you mail, just love drawing stuff
