Suckers, I have been out flying the last couple of days running in the new 91 YS muncher engine, I will try and do another three or four flights tomorrow and she will be ready for the carbsmart and a good thrashing by Jonny.

I am going to try putting the flybar weights that came with the curtis paddles and see what difference they make.

I am liking the 700 poor 600s are collecting dust like the old 450.

Hi Guys, Been reading this topic for a while now and thought I'd say hello and make myself known.
My names Stephan, There's about 4 of us here in Nelson that fly together each week and recently a few more guys just starting to get into it learning how to fly.
Where pretty spoilt with helis between myself and another guy we have 9 which is starting to get a little excessive and if you have a look in the scale section you will see my lattest addition a scale A109. http://runryder.com/helicopter/t444...?top=1215686273

a few of us would like to head up north some time to a heli event and meet some fellow heli addicts like ourselves, so if you could recommend the best one to atend could you let us know.

Anyway we have a fantastic flying field here so if anyone is ever heading down or up this way come and join us.

Cheers

Hi Stephan.

Welcome to RR. There are some good events to attend. I dont have the link handy and need to get to bed but if you look on the nzmaa site and look under the heli sig you can link to neil harkers site which usually details the upcoming events. Rotorua is always a good event. That is normally in october.

I haven't had a look yet but will over your scale. I am just getting into scale myself.

I am Glenn from the manawatu.

Cheers.

Hey Stephen nice heli!

Best event would have to be the Rotorua event, currently scheduled for 23-24 August (check out rchelisnz.info for other calendered events)

Theres always a good turnout and they do a great job at organising and setting out the field space for different levels of flying.

Always nice to meet new heli ppl in NZ

Check out this page:
http://rchelisnz.eaccounts.co.nz/events.htm
for future event dates.

There is a good group of us guys throughout NZ. Come up to the NI sometime and Jonny and I can show you around our Auckland field if you like.

Just watch out for Helinut, he'll keep trying to show you his trophies. LOL.

Bollocks.

I am offended Jason. That is just not me.

Jonny I may have to work. The timing for that weekend sucks as I will almost invariably have to be away given the first trip and the rest periods required. I dont want to miss rotorua.
