Grant can you oganise some good weather this Sunday, I want to have a fly at Tuakau or somewhere in South Auckland.
If you are up to date with your study on Sunday Jonny come for a play and let me know how the new gyro stacks up against the Spartan, I cant out fly a GY240 so need someone to push this thing to the limit.

Ok guys, it's the last week to respond to the NZ Heli SIG Survey. If you haven't filled it out yet, please do so asap! We need YOUR input. If you don't give your input now, then you can't complain later.

The Heli Sig is meeting this Sunday and would like as many of the surveys in as possible.

Either :

Go to www.rchelisnz.info and click on the link for the Survey.

Or

Click here to go straight to the Excel Form:

http://rchelisnz.eaccounts.co.nz/heli_survey.xls

For those that don't already know, the Heli SIG (Special Interest Group) is a volunteer committee under the umbrella of the NZMAA that attempts to represent RC Heli Pilot interests within New Zealand at a National level.

Thanks everyone.

For sure Footey.

Also, if anyone wants some other ideas or anything aired at the meeting, they can email their ideas to the same address or to me directly and we will be happy to consider/discuss them. This is true any time actually.

The SIG are here to listen and help. We are volunteers but are passionate about helis and seeing them grow in NZ. Any positive input that helps achieve this goal is a good thing.

Brand NEW X-treme 90 for sale!!

I have one X-treme 90 for sale....... It has only done 1/2 a tank but I have decided it just too much for me to handle given my limited flying skills.

This "DEMOND" is kitted out with 8717's running on 8v, 770 with 8900, 4000Mha lipo, OS 91 with Hitori pipe, MultiGov pro with built in mixture control, micro servo on the throttle and CYB 710 Stick bangers. Weighing in the red corner at only 4.3kg and we could get it down to 4.0kg with a few less goodies and lighter blades.

On the first hover it was like the X-treme 50 on P. I was like dam “who’s your P popping daddy bit*h!!. The thing scared the living crap out of me to be honest and I put it straight back down scratching my head. I looked at the guys and they said “well? what the hells wrong buzz??” Man I was shaking like a leaf given my experience with maidens in the past…

Those 8717’s on 8v pick up every little movement and it was cold as hell.. (Well that’s my excuse anyway) I plugged in a little more expo and gave it another shot. Man this thing just sat their rock solid purring, ready to unleash the furry on itself. A few quick stables of the collective and I knew “it was business time”. With just a few minor adjustments to do I think I will leave it up to the boys on Sunday to “beat on it”.

I will post some photos of the X90 (AKA “The Dominator) after the weekend if we manage to get out for a fly on Sunday.

Have a great weekend guys and happy flying!

Regards

Grant

Photo's and Pricing fo rthe X-treme 90

Hi Guy's,

I have had a few Email from people asking for some quick photo's and pricing so here they are.....

Hopefully the weather will hold out and we can go for a fly tomorrow morning and get some better photos, but here are a few quickies.

Pricing - There will be 3 types of kits, (the same as the X-treme 50) with the option of either belt or torque tube. The base kit will start in the mid – high NZD$900’s, which will be for the G10 – belt version. Parts will also be very cheap as per the X-treme 50.

For more information on the machine have a look at this website, http://www.rotortips.net//index.php...id=64&Itemid=59

Catch ya
