There is also a big funfly in Hamilton 29/30 Sept. Hamilton (My Club) has recently put on awesome Heli Funflies.

The last one in April had six Vendors there most turned up with Stands and handed out tons of prizes. and stuff for raffles.

Trouble is that most guys can only manage one or two long distance funflys a year if that. We need to cater for more down this way. Mostly I feel for the Guys down south as they only have themselves to ....ummmm......play with.
Robin and Pete have been up to the NI at least twice. Even as far as rotovegas. It would be great oneday if we could support them en mass at some stage.

Pass on RotorVegas

Hi guys- I certainly don't want to be negative.... but since I am an Ex-yank.....

Hamilton at the end of this month will be the place for me. As much as I like Rotorua- and the folks at the local club have ALWAYS been super everytime I've been there- the event in R-town is partially a competition, for national points.

Now, I'll admit my days of flying in these comps is over- I guess I never had the nerves or skill for them- but the comps will take a chunk out of at least one day. Unless you wanna compete (and good on ya if you do!) I believe there will be more flying time available in Hamilton.

I agree with what has been said here- I can afford just a couple road trips a year- and Hamilton is the place for me this year.

Who knows- there may be a reason for the NZ heli guys to pack their bag for a trip to Wgtn for the 2nd week of March in 2008....... stay tuned....

Jason if you have been flying a lot and getting better than me I will try to catch you with your fingers in the door........

I dunno if i will be there yet. I am trying to engineer my trips to make sure I have that fri/sat/sun off. Being that all my trips are 10 or 12 days at the mo it may work in my favour.

I wanted the Aurora for that meeting but it's still nowhere to be seen.

I am looking forward to seeing some of those high powered electric things smoke some 300 dollar batteries......LOL....sorry....I hate those things. I am trying to get on sue bradfords xmas list with my totally greenie attitude to the ozone layer.....nitro and smoke....she can go and get stuffed.

Oh are you doing it both ways now? You were talking about that last time....you know....upright and inverted.

Yup loving inverted flight mate, doing it upside down more than right side up I think. lol. Now I am trying to nail backwards inverted - bloody difficult mate! I don't think I'll be flying as good as you but I can hold my own if ya know what I mean?

Will be good to see ya again - keen to see what you are doing now. I'll be bringing a few birds just in case I take a dirt nap with one. Hehe.

BTW Robin is the one you need to keep an eye on! Can someone down south PLEASE break his thumbs - he's getting too damn good and none of us old codgers can keep up. Bloody kids these days...lol.

nah my flying sucks. I haven't been able to do much lately. I'd like to get more in. I talk about it more than fly!!!

Yeah Rob will easily be the best in NZ if not already on the 3D. Pete B reckons he's going off the chart.
Bastard.
Hey Robin....you coming up again?

Yeah but I hear that Peter is doing more flying these days too, so I am sure he's coming along nicely! But I just went to IRCHA and I must say the standard of flying in the US is just nuts. Even the 'average' guys are bloody good.

We just need more pilots pushing the envelope in NZ, that's all! My mate Ian and I here in Aucks are really pushing each other which is helping a lot. Trash talking from a mate can get you pretty fired up if you know what I mean. LOL

I'm hoping that my vbar Logo 600 will have arrived by then. I suspect I'll be pulling a few all-nighters to get it done. It's going to be awesome on 10S lipos. Hopefully I will have a couple of awesome machines to show off.

Yes. I will be running a slightly less insane setup than the guys at IRCHA, and I'm hoping to get at least 6 minutes a pack.

If you guys will let a Wgtn guy get in on this-

If you can make it up to Hamilton, I'd be pleased to let you use my flight box, starter, table, etc - in case that helps.

I don't fly as wild as you guys, so I have to make up for that by being nice

See ya up there!
