Thanks Jonny, as the #1 ranking 3D Pilot in this country, your opinion means a lot mate. And I agree 100%.

I'd be happy road trippin' to Rotovagas on the off year and I'm sure the welly boys will all do the same. Either way a seperate event from the NZMAA Nats is the way to go! Definatly the idea of having a funfly/3d/F3C/Scale or whatever will be a huge hit.

Now that we have everyones attention on runryder
Please post on www.rcforums.co.nz

Some great ideas coming through but probably better if we keep them all on one Forum instead of split between 2 so its easier to read through.

Cheers

One option would be to close this thread (only Salby can do this I think) with one final post with that URL in big letters...

I would prefer Robin didn't do that personally. That means a new NZ thread would have to be started on RR and that's bad because many are already subscribed to this one. And let's face it, the other forum will never be as big as RR or have as large a reach. It's good to have the other forum I guess (don't see the point really, for helis at least) but it's not as user friendly IMHO, mainly due to the stock PHPBB code.

What is wrong with www.rcforums.co.nz ??? I posted a topic & everyone can see it & reply to it??

If we keep it on this NZ Heli discussion page it will all get jumbled up with other NZ Heli topics & just be a pain to read through.

I understand the need to get more people informed about the thread & I think yourself & Cheye have done that.

Thanks Jonny P for the nice words.
I'm still pi$$ed that I didnt get to see you fly the blades off your own heli. The Welly boys were really looking forward to seeing you throw it around.

I agree with Jason. Please don't shut down this thread. Its a great way to get the attention of a lot of NZ guys at once.

I/we want a heli event that EVERYBODY wants to come to and everybody builds towards it. It can be done but it needs to be done correctly and with the support of 99% of the NZ heli fraternity. I have no problem it being part of the NZMAA but they need to understand why we need change.

No not mine.
A Heli guy down here started it, great to have all the NZ information on one site, planes, HELIS, boats, cars.

hi guys.

I'd like to keep this thread but we can all discuss this important issue on the NZ forum by signing up and adding it into your favourites and then using that medium to discuss the nats.

Once the forum is well subscribed we may get to use it on a more regular basis.

cheers

ok so there is some absolute dickhead out there that keeps reporting my listings on trademe as in the wrong category. I list heli stuff under....duh....helis and these TM people keep sending me lovely little notes saying they will suspend my account if I list parts and accessories under heli's yet there are many others with gear in the "wrong" category.

I'm not in the mood for it so I have sent them 50 listings in the "wrong" category tonight for them to sort out and make a point. I'll send them another 50 tomorrow. Sorry if any one of them is yours.
I'd hate to think anyone I am associated with is reporting my listings. I wouldn't think so....more than likely it's one of those guys with those pathetic rubbish chinese heli's.

You need to stop putting all those dodgy items you pick up in Hong Kong under the helis section. We all know that heli guys are the most likley to buy them, but those of us who search the "toys" category do expect them to be in the helis section

Hello Glenn
I am selling some gyro mounting pads on trademe
and put them under Helis. After two days I get the
some crap that you received, (in the wrong category).

I had the same problem too selling a GY401 gyro.
Think they need a Heli parts catagory.

Hi Guys. Wayne has had the same experience with his 10X heli radio. Was in the Helis section as its a "heli" radio, someone complained and they moved it to the parts and accessories section. Cheers Stu
