I have two TRex 450's, two TRex 600's One Scale eRaptor and about 8 Lipo powered planes (You can see I am heavily in electrics ....)

This weeked my new Big Yak (2 mtr wingspan) will take to the air (weather permitting) flying 10s Lipos and swinging a 20# prop.

Oops .... This is a heli site shouldn't have mentioned the planks <vbg>

Shout out from Wgtn

This is George up in Wellington. A nice group of us heli guys up here- lotsa Raptors, and a good selection of other machines.

As my name suggests, I have a whole fleet of flying TSK machines, plus several other Kyoshos, and a Trex. Currently 5 scale machines in the air- more to come

If you ever come up through here- drop us a line- always nice to meet folks from the mainland.

Awsome bird.Im gonna scale the 5 as a funkey hughs 500 and use the 37 for getting wild....when im able.Currently doing 8's and big circuts.I love the hobbie but usually fly alone as not many pilots in my area.

Hey G2.. how the hell are ya...

You still collecting heli's...

I've still got the Trusty old Raptor 60V2. But it has now had some surgery . Is sporting a 90 upgrate kit & has a 90SZH stuffed firmly inside. Goes like a rocket.
Until the gas runs out..
TREX sits quietly gettin P/O on the shelf for lack of use..

I fly with Robin down here in Christchurch and let me tell you, the Szabos better watchout, he is getting good VERY fast. I started about the same time and am LIGHT YEARS behind him. I am moving to Auckland just after Christmas (North Shore - Albany) so have to find me a new club! I'll miss the team down here in ChCh, we have a cool tight knit group that really enjoys helis. Hope I can find the same in Auckland.

Hi Robin, I was part of the Wellington Heli fraternity, but have just moved down to Blenheim for a 2-3yr adventure (don't worry G2 I'll be back and we will be back into flying at the Mangaroa Valley flying site). Unfortunatly I don't think too much is happening here heli wise so my R90 is starting to gather dust again. However if you CHCH guys have some sort of funfly thing let me know.

JAGNZ - I gotta feel sorry for you having to go and live in Auckland (I spend most of my life there and would now only go back kicking and screeming), however at least in Albany you are close to the Taupaki flying site (just forget the politics and go fly)

Thanks TrexRookie I painted the canopy myself & used automotive acrylic paint, Hand made the graphics & clear coated over the top.

Hey Jason enough of the Szabo thing Ive got a long way to go before Im flying like he does, Id say at least another 2000 litres of fuel & I might be getting the path from my eyes to my brain to my fingers sorted lol.

Shout out to all the Wellington heli boys!!, A couple of us are coming up for the nationals, We will be keen for a fly with you guys after the nationals, Thats if we have still got flyable machines.

Hey Dean we have the occasional heli fly in down here so I will give you a yell next time something is on.

Guilty as Charged!

Jason- yup that was my Hughes! Good fun- goes pretty well. It was a bit of a rush to get it ready for that weekend, so it was still getting tweaked, but now it cuts a great line in the air

Si- good luck at the Nats- you may be by yourself, can't say if any Wgtn boys will be there. I have a new BBQ this year- still wating to trest it out- don't you worry!

Alton- yes- still collecting heli's- don't tell W.!! Hope your clan is well. When we catch up- we'll have to fly Trex's together! Get it ready!!

Ah, Team New Zealand- a small country- but a buncha great guys!!

Hey Robin....Pete and I are still gonna break your thumbs if you keep getting better that fast. I heard about your low level inverted auto roll outs. My last one ended up with the evo dead.....again. Number 6 this year.
Hows the donk in that r 90 going?
I keep intending to go get this damn wings badge but the weather in welly sucks everytime I am home and available. G2 is the only one that can give it to me (steady on G2) Apparently I have to be able to hover but given the fact that I don't hover too much I am having to practice a wee bit more on that and I suck at it.

So you have joined the ranks of the Run Ryder social and armchair critics club forum.

Looking forward to December to catch up with you and Pete.

Cheers

Hey Glenn, Yeah Im keeping an eye on Peter just incase he tries to slam my fingers in the car door.
My inverted autos are very average probably about 2 good ones out of 20 just having trouble keeping the decent rate smooth & keeping foward momentium.
Sorry to hear about your EVO but as Ive always said if you dont fall off your motorcross bike your not pushing hard enough.
At least with this sport you dont hurt your body just your wallet.

The 90SZH is making great power & only running 10% nitro.
The only problem is that when I fly it I put the same collective inputs in as the 50 & it takes off on me.
Need more stick time to get used to all the extra power.
(Pete laughs at me when Im flying it cause my legs are always shaking)

Yip joined the Runryder site, Lots of good information on here.
Well cant wait to have a fly with ya in December

Cheers
Robin

hah no worries about the Evo mate. Shes been in enough times now to be very practiced at crashing. I didn't break the blades for a second time running so wasn't expensive at all except it was running very well so was a bit of a shame. Yeah I'm pushing hard to try and keep up with you guys.

Hey I find theres a big difference in the 90 and 50. They are very different to fly so when I get the new 90 I am gonna stick with that and get used to it rather than swapping between the two. I intend to get two 90's and set them up the same so I can really improve my 3D flying. I don't want to do F3C flying....well...because my hovering sucks and I'd rather stick bang.

"My hovering sucks...." ????

Hmmmm, looking like it's gonna be that much longer until SOMEONE is ready for his Wings Test, I think!!

I might not be able to do the usual "inverted cone-knocking sheep-herding auto with stall turn and chaos", but at least I can look sharp in my hovering- and THAT'S how I pick up all the heli groupies at the field!!!

don't need to hover much with 3D G2. I'm sure I can bluff my way through the test though! I see mother nature yet again doesn't realise we wanted to fly this weekend......b itch. I guess we could always put some floats on our helis and some umbrellas on our tx's.

you know i was up in LA, Tahiti and fiji over the last nine days and guess where the $hit wx was for the whole nine days......NZ. I have gas to burn...time....willing heli's and yet I am stuck inside watching shaggy dog with the kids. (thats not so bad though)

By the way those "groupies" are sheep....leave dolly alone....we got a thing going on.

And the gumboots. Settle down there dolly.....this aint gonna hurt a bit.

So G2. you gonna sort that rubbish wx down there a bit so I can come down and that wings badge done? I know my own name and I can stand on one leg for at least 3 seconds when I am pi$$ed so do I pass?
Is bribery still an option?
