I have a new 25A eFlite ESC and a new 370 motor that I was going to use in a Tribute, so if I get this to work with my Stylus or RD 8K, what do I get?

Cheetabux or meal tickets at the Luxor are acceptable.

I've been meaning to build the Tribute and use the Stylus or RD to fly it with so it looks like I might run into the same issues that you are encountering. Let me get two more projects off the bench and I'll check the eFlite ESC and see what's up.

You'll attain status and prestige over & above that which you already possess.

Damn, I was hoping for a few free passes to the nudey lounge when I was in Vegas for the Fun Fly.

OK, prestige it is.

Ask and ye shall rx. You've got (loosely?) connected (soldered, not crimped) friends here (shaken, not stirred).

The good folks at Airtronics in Anaheim modified a couple 92516 lightweight 6 channel receivers (antenna shortened, rx retuned) for me for use in lighter electric helis. This is the same mod Alan Jr has them do for his Rex 450SE's.

What type of EMI is this mod intended to defend against? Bearings? ESC's?

Here's one of the few things you don't want to do with a Stylus:

You don't want to switch it on with the Memory Card in place. Under certain circumstances this will cause a 'Backup Error' reset to 'Japan' mode, in which some features disappear and stick recalibration becomes necessary.

It should be switched on ONLY with a feature card (HELI, ACRO or GLID) in the slot or no card at all.

Lesson learned. Thanks Jack and Terry.

You'd think that there was some sort of biblical revelation going on in the DX threads about the fact that the swash goes up and down straight on a CCPM Machine now.

I don't know about the rest of the RC world but I expect that out of my radios and both the RD8000/Stylus deliver. To the Airtronics users this just isn't a big deal.

Yup. Airtonics raised the standard 11 years ago -- and the others are just now catching up. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled and fingers crossed for Airtronics to eventually jump into the spread spectrum market.

You don't need SS to make the swash go straigth up and down.

True enough, but it is good insurance against rookie boneheads who switch on on your freq. Hasn't happened to me yet but I've seen it happen twice, and both times it completely destroyed some very nice helis.

A thought occurs -- If you're on on your freq using negative shift and someone switched on using positive shift, would the interference be any less?

The rage is that DSM'ers now get top notch eCCPM performance with the DX7 instead of near worst as with the DX6 - Being able to compare this performance of a $350 radio to that of a $2000 radio and bullet-proof DSM to boot - Definitely worth clucking about -

But this is not a DSM thread so lets try not to turn it into one also?

An RD 8000 doesn't cost $2,000.00 and it can make the swashplate go straight up and down.

My point is that when JR/Spektrum didn't have it-it wasn't an issue, now it is.

This is a Stylus thread, but any Stylus thread is by nature also a thread about fast tx's -- so any speed related comments are welcome.
