Hi with all!
I am French and I am not yet perfectly at ease with the American language, I am specialized in the search and the design for rc coaxial helicopter for a civil professional use. Here a video of one of my realization: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKSlVhgoNME

Thanks, but I`ve already seen it.

Many of us would like to see close up pictures of the mechanics.
Can you take some pictures?

Hello
My trade is the design of uav for civil applications, I am the originator of this craft so I have obviously many pictures, they will be published soon, I need to await the authorization before doing it.
Thanks you for your comprehension

I did not understant why you did it coaxial..

Benefits? Run time? Wheight-to-lift ratio?

By the way, it is not UAV in the video, right?

I did not claim yet that it is a UAV, the title of the post says well “ experimental coaxial flying platform for UAV research” (when there are two or + rotors on the same axe it's called coaxial). Any UAV is inevitably at the beginning an if possible stable unspecified machine mechanical reliable and able to embark weight, so that one can then, according to the use whom one wants to make, to install electronics necessary there to make it autonomous, it is at this time that this moment qualified there of UAV.
Right?

Charly12,

I understand you are fine tuning the mechanics to begin autonomous flight. However, what you said is not answer to my question. I know coaxial means "sharing the same axe". What I asked was why you prefered coaxial design instead of standard tail compansated design..

Hi Alfasilin
Afflicted not to have included/understood the question, I do not control yet all subtleties of the English language, to return from there to your question, I invite you to visit this site:
http://www.gyrodynehelicopters.com/
for me it is one of the best examples to be followed concerning the technology of coaxial, you will find there in particular a page speaking about all its advantages.
Hoping that you have the answer.

What a GREAT rig you have there . That looks to be a very stable platform and should be easy to learn to fly . I can see a lot of public service applications like the police departments are going to helicopters for scene pictures but they are using the traditional bird . With this you could get just about anyone taught to fly it in about a quarter of the time it takes to master the regular bird . Good Luck I see $$$$ in your future . I hope you have been to the patent office ! Strap a camera to it and I bet you could sell it to US police forces in every jurisdiction across the 48 states . Again GOOD LUCK . Keep us updated .

Hi Scott
Thank you for your congratulations, that made hot in the middle! Indeed the challenge was to obtain a very stable platform, initially easy to control manually. Thus by adding a simple autopilot to it, the training for the future pilots/operators will be facilitated and fast. I am conscious of the impact that that can have for various applications. I have just now to finalize it (careenage, autopilot, camera…....) and I am impatient! That will not delay… I will not of course fail to keep you informed.
Touched by your interest, so long.

Hi!
Thanks guys!
it's the careenage, which was not installed during the tests, which will allow to better visualize the flight's directions.
