I'm posting this message to join some threads I've read on several sites about a scammer. This guy advertised a heli on another site and I agreed to buy it. I sent him a $100 money order as requested. After not receiving the bird 2 weeks later, I sent him e-mail through the same site as the listing was on. He said he received payment and would be shipping the next day (Monday). It's now been 4 weeks. He will not answer my mail, he has not answerd mail from the site adminstrator, and has not posted to that site since. I read on RR of several pilots that he ripped off. He answered some of them by making fun of them and saying he's being falsely acoused. Well, I have copys of my dealings with him showing the dates, what he said, what I said, and his NAME & ADDRESS to send the money to. Well this is the same guy listed on RunRyder as:

You see Scott, you gave others your address on this site also so you could cheat them too. We're closing in on you Scott. And I for one can't wait. Buyers be ware. Also I know of a few that had no problems with him. You don;t have to come to his defense. This is about the ones he screwed, including me. Thanx for your time all. I hope this saved someone some money and a lot of bulls..t!

Someone from the Baltimore branch of the All Volunteer Copter Detectives should drop in on Scott Nichols for a visit -- so he can get the idea clearly into his head that his actions will have consequences and that local folks will help see it through. It worked here in Vegas when Jaguar's deal went sour; maybe it'll work in Maryland for Dustman2.

It's a shame that we have to fall foul to these robbers, we see something that we want to buy from someone and part with our hard earned cash, sometimes we can't even afford to buy these items but we do and it is a shame that some people have already decided to rip us off when they have placed the ad for the goods.
We send off the money in good faith and never see it again or the goods, I can't believe that people treat eachother this way but sadly it is a sign of the times.
I hope that all the people that suffer at the hands of these criminals are able to get something back whether it be a refund or the goods.

i have dealt with helihi before and is a very standup guy. when i was dealing with him he was having major health problems. but he is a guy i would trust to keep my stuff and check it out before sending payment. that is what happened. i sent him heli, if he liked it he would send me the money. in my opinion he is a very nice guy. last i heard from him he was in the hospital for 2 months solid.

If a buyer/seller becomes ill then that's unfortunate -- IF he's genuinely ill.

Scott's supposed lack of health has been brought into question before.

If a buyer/seller cannot fulfill his end of a bargain FOR ANY REASON then that's unacceptable. Can't complete the deal? DON'T MAKE THE DEAL.

if you were perfectly fine and you put one of your helis up for sale. you made the deal happen and before the deal was done you had a stroke, heart attack, immediate surgery, car accident, etc,etc. on the way out of your house would you tell the paramedics "hey man, i gotta stay here so i can ship one of my toy helis before i go. I know i might die but i gotta get this done." you would awhnestly think like that? If that was the case for me i would say "hey, get better and dont rush anything, when you get back to full health go ahead and ship my little toy heli." thats what i would say.

If he was having "major health problems" as you say, then he shouldn't have made the deals, he would have know that he might not have been able to fulfill his part of the deal, an honest person wouldn't have entered the deal knowing that the other party may get ripped off by his passing or his not being able to fulfill his obligation.

Holy hell whatever. I've had a couple good transactions with him so I'm backing him up. Anyway, he worked for me, so I guess this isn't my deal. I'll stay out of it. I really could care less if you thought you could pay 100 dollars for a heli. Thats actually kind of hilarious.
