i want to buy one of these to tool around a bit.
im looking for cheap blades to put on it during the first stages.
what do you recommend.
i am also thinking of doing the V2 head mod, you think the picolo blades are sufficient?

Not sure it's a good idea. The Piccolo FP blades would hover an X-FP at about 1200 rpm, the stock MS 080 CF FP blades hover around 1700 rpm (all depending on battery weight choice). I expect the resulting drop in tail rotor rpm could also be a problem.
The MS 080 CF FP blades are good high rpm (low pitch) efficient FP blades but are a little fragile at the roots if mounted without load spreading large plastic washer.
