Anyone know of a cyclic limiter ring brand that'll fit an Airtronics Stylus?

Anybody make one of their own?

I made a ring the same way for my 7C but the Stylus's gimbal seat is wider.

If you know someone with a lathe, get about a 4" length of 4" diameter delrin rod from McMaster-Carr, and make about 16 rings from it (assuming 1/8" thick ring, and 1/8" waste). Short money, and you can make Futaba, Jr, and ATX rings from it, and sell them to everyone at your field.

4" diameter? That's a bit wide, eh? Thanks for the suggestion anyway. I have some 2" material that'll work but I'm looking for a simpler solution if there's one already being made. As for sales, I'll leave that to the more ambitious.

Make one if you really feel the need. But I would think you're far better off without a cyclic ring and spending some quality time teaching your thumbs what's where.

I'm accustomed to them now. It's a comfort to know the swash can never bind against the mainshaft even at full stick throws to the corners. I've seen some VERY skilled pilots whose mainshafts are notched from the occasions when their well-trained thumbs moved further (for a save?) than their setup allowed.

I'm with you---why should your controls be able to go beyond the limits of the equipment? Makes no sense to me even if you could train your thumbs---why? We don't set throttle or collective servo so that we don't run the full stick on it, for example. I used the rap 30 tail pulley which is the perfect size ID and cut it to the 2"OD that fits the stylus radio. Works great.

2 + 2 = 5 for extremely large values of 2.
