I got my clutch engagement problem fixed. Great customer service from Todd and gang over sea's. Now that the bird is all dialed in. Damn" what a helicopter. I just want to give a public thank you to Todd. He has been great in helping me out with my problem with the clutch. SynergyRC Is on the list also for a Thank you. In the last 2 days I got a gallon and a half threw the motor. The Heli flies real nice. I hope everyone is loving there's as much as I am. I'm also looking forward to the Brooks FF, here at the end of the month. Can't wait to burn some fuel there.

The final issue was the gap. From talking to Todd he said they had a couple of clutches that went out over hardened. My first clutch seemed to be one of these. They second dayed me a new one with new collet and shortened ball links for the top. Thanks Synergy. I put the new clutch in and had the same problem. So with that said I just removed the clutch line and shimmed a new one with a tighter gap. I'm going to send Todd my first clutch. So he can look and see if it's over hardened. At first I was going to just put the liner in. I thought thou if it was a clutch issue I wanted it fixed right. After the second clutch did the same thing I knew it was a gap issue. But I must say the service was top notch. Now the heli is flying great. Jeff you can fly any thing I own any time you want. Brooks is going to be great.

Chris,

Did you end up using the Raptor blue clutch liner? Or did you have to use something else? The Raptor liner appears to be the same thickness as the stock N9 liner. I haven't measured it though.

I happened to have some heat resistant gasket that was the same thickness. I cut 2 pieces of printer paper the same size as the liner. JB weld each one in. So it went Jb,paper Jb,Paper Jb,clutch liner. Then I wrapped the clutch it's self twice with masking tape. Pushed that into the clutch bell and let it setup. It grabbed at first when I put the started on it. But after the first flight it was perfect.

Instead of using paper, beer / soda cans work better as a filler.
Also fills the gap in one or two slices instead of 3+.

Gives it a little more rigity too.
