so does the end with the grub screws go against the insert now and not away from it? i have mine apart and wonder what way they should be when rebuilding.

also, cut the outer hole off the washout....why don't they put in a metal anti rotational guide so we still have some mixing options? MA one will be going on me thinks.

cheers

raptorheli2,

Regarding the washout arms it's the possibility at full pitch and full right and left cyclic that the tip of the arms will contact the swashplate where the screw for the anti rotation mounts. If you run +-14 pitch and +-9 cyclic the arm will hit but for normal setups +-10 and +-6 it should clear. Its best to check for binding to be sure.

i have modified my guide not to flex as i assume most cases of the washout catching (the ones i know about anyway) the guide is because the guide moves slightly under load (it is flimsy if you move it) so that i have sorted.

i know there is also instances of the washout arms clipping the inner swash where the left and right ball links attach, a dremel will fix that.

fixing it from clipping the front is going to be tricky, i'll have a look at that but i really can't see mine doing that as i only run 10 on pitch.

cheers

Funny i mentioned that 12 days before chuckies' post but hell what do i know, and here was me thinking i'd cut 5mm off my washout arms for the sake of it.

Quotes may have been changed for my own amusement
