Like you said, it's a high speed dive with BLAZINGLY fast piroettes all the way down and pull out at the bottom (ofcourse ).

I THINK it's called the ripper on account of it ripping tail gears to bits when the piroettes stop?

Just got back from Shepparton. Curtis & Jason were unbelievable.

Their Rippers with slams were mind boggling.

This manuever was first demonstrated by curtis ( founder of many cool manuvers) at I believe the 98-99 Ircha event.

I asked him on the flight line what was the name! and he said its called that because if your main gear and tail drive components are not true
it will rip it apart!

The new variation of this is to move the collective extreme negative and
positive will piroetting at high speed knife edge! Ripper with collective
slam

Other variations is 4 point and 8 point knife edge variations.
