There seams to be heaps more posts about issues witht he N9 in this forum at the moment and im sure that cant be the case with all of them. I just dont seam to read to many good ones apart from the customer service one and a few here and there.
So whats the deal? are they worth the trouble or a good item to sit back watch and wait for a more refined kit? With the Aurora on the way it make for a hard choice.

??? I am half way done with my build and I have not had one problem yet. Very well packaged kit. I hope to have the heli in the air by the weekend.

apperantly there are some QC issues with a large number of kits.

I would hold up until they solve these issues.

I found the N9 to be super simple to build due to lOW parts count, the only things that needed attention were:

Slot upper collet w/dremel
Fan shroud positioning
Loctite sprag outter race
simple stuff

That was it!!! No Problem!

However, I have built many helicopters and I would say that this heli had less issues then all after 1st flight. 2nd flight Tyler put a HARDCORE 3D flight in, He said that it was very predictable yet very responsive, a perfect balance. I checked the heli bolt by bolt and no signs of premature damage.
BTW I built this heli with no manual as I left it with a friend by mistake.

That was my exp.

I agree the issues are minor in comparison to other helis, especially after you start flying the N9.

In the air this heli is unlike any other machine. In my opinion it's the best flying 90 sized heli bar none. It's built like a brick and flys precise, light, quick, nimble, and tracks hands off. Point the model in any direction and it goes with authority until you want to change direction. In backward and side ways flight it accelerates quickly and flys fast, something to get used to. The speed at which the heli responds to pilot inputs is very quick (in all directions) and it has very predictable characteristics. Let go of the cyclic in any attitude and the model tracks were you left. It helps the pilot build confidence from the first flight. In my second flight, after mounting the canopy, (all new equipment and engine) I was flying the heli hard and having fun. I was very confident in the N9 performance, like I've been flying it for months.

Yeah i have to chime in here also. I was flying raptor 90's before the synergy and i still have one but it hasnt gotten flown since the synergy was maidened.

I found the kit extremely easy to build and had no issues worth mentioning. And ive only built raptors before and electro helis.

The way i would read the activity in this forum is that people are so happy and busy flying it they have nothing to say or talk about. I could make a post everyday i come back from flying it how much better ive gotten in one more day of flying this thing and how much more confidence i have gotten and how the machine just flies like it should and has had no issues for me but that would get old.

On the other hand the complaining voice is always the loudest and i would say judging from how FEW people there are here complaining about it and taking into consideration that its basically the same handful of people who are complaining and nitpicking about every little thing in the kit, the "issues" are much smaller and less bothersome than you may think.

If you want one then just buy it! You will love it. And if you dont, check the RR classifieds. Ive seen two used synergies go for 50 dollars less than retail price and one go for retail. Quite surprising actually for a kit that supposedly has so many "issues". Dont you think?

Well said guys, one other thing that comes up is the money issue, what other heli comes with carbon tailblades and paddles? Thats $80 retail less then the kit price in my mind. Value added you gotta love it!

are you saying those of us who paid good money are not entitled to say, hey, there is a problem here? just remember it's because of people finding niggles they get fixed for the next batch of kits.

not everyone was as lucky as you with their kits, just remember that please when patronising people about "niggles"

on the actual topic of whats the scoop, the scoop is the synergy is the dogs danglies, the next batch of kits will have most of the problems found in this one resolved i would think, end result is us highlighting poblems about the kit will help get problems fixed for you, the next buyer and not us the initial buyer. it's plainly obvious some kits don't have issues but everyone i've seen has had the same issues. i have another synergy coming from the 2nd batch so i'll see if anything has changed.

cheers

hey man, take it easy. Im not singling anyone out or trying to patronise anyone. And of course you guys can bring your gripes about the kit public. Thats what gets little and big problems fixed in many cases. I just classify these as little problems and was trying to put this in perspective for the original buyer. Your post is really kind of off topic.

i answered the actual post after i addressed your post, if you didn't mean it to be like that then great, it doesn't read like you meant that though, if i took it the wrong way then i eat humble pie.

i specifically addressed the actual topic/scoop when i said the next batch should be better. i.e wait on that one) so it's not off topic.

cheers

raptorheli2,

I think all the "positive" feedback is good but JK and TB are not monitoring this forum directly. This is not the official method to get feedback to Synergy RC.

ANYTHING i found wrong is posted on their forum, i only post what i find here so people are aware of the problems while building.

also synergy rc does monitor this forum, you think they paid for that big advert up top and not look in? only a few days ago they replied to droid.

cheers

Yes they acknowledged something it was kinda vague though!

I have tried to contact through the proper channels and their forum is sort of not quite done for the want of a better statement!!
I have spoke to skyline and they are just waiting.......

Hell they manufacture helis i don't expect them to live on the net and sort email sending issues out i'd rather they sort the model out.

I know rr is VERY public but everyone here is in the same hobby we are all grown up and every post i have made is real not hearsay, the issues have affected me. I didn't hear these things down the field or at the LHS!

Go look at the synergy rc website its very quiet because it is TOO slow, infrequently updated and everyone is here!!

BTW did i mention it now flies the B@LL@X

i have the second kit out of ricks door, and all i can say is this thing flies like a dream. i realy havent had any issues like some other people. Ball links on mine were and are tight as can be. no slop at all. the only sloppy parts on this heli are in the tail, the tail links are kind of sloppy but thats it, it flies great. i have looked over and played with jk's heli and his has the same slop in the tail, but you cant seem to tell in the air. all in all its a great heli.

So you are saying if you grab the flybar paddle and rock it you cant move it without moving a servo?

what colour are the actual ball links on your kit if there is no slop?

the proper links should have a coating on them which every synergy bar yours doesn't seem to have. the links are tight to go on, but rock the flybar and get ready for a shock. if you have the old links.

if your links are not sloppy then you must have the revised ball links for some reason in an early kit.

only 4 words synergy owners need to know, dial gauge your fan.

cheers
