Do people beleive that the synergy will still b the leading 90 size 3D machine once the aurora is out? The aurora will attract buyers on bling factor alone.
Thanks

the synergy by far is a better choice for 3 reasons

1. maintainance by far is way faster and easyier on the synergy than any other heli out there ,even easyier then a raptor(build one and you will see)

2. all that bling bling on the aurora will cost you double for parts and really doesn't make any heli fly better its just eye candy

3.synergy has a very low parts count then any other heli out there...which helps in crash cost less parts to buy,and maintain

I'm not saying the aurora isn't nice cause its a very nice looking heli and I'm sure it will fly great but not cost worthy if you are a crasher just like the fury tempest put one in and all you hear is ca ching ca ching bling bling $$$$$$ then you hear f--k'n dummy....lol...

Just a comment

Just a comment. I do have a Synergy and not an Aurora, and if you have looked at the price of parts, they arent exactly cheap on the synergy... Few examples... Main Gear $50, tail output assembly approx $100, etc. So I think the cost will be about the same, not saying a favor either, but they arent cheap on price, no one can argue that! I guess it all depends on what breaks to compare cost indexes, but I would of expected the parts to be cheaper, since alot of them are made of plastic.. I was just suprised when I saw some of the prices.

If you dont succeed the first time, try and try again. With heli's keep on trying!

It looks 2 me like the synergy is mainly a plastic heli the aurora seems 2 b a carbon fibre and metal heli. Naturally u pay more for these more exotic materials. It will b interesting 2 c if it flys any beta.

i know this,90s arent really for beginners nor someone just introducing them selves to 3d .thats like buying an indy car and you really think brakepads should be around the same price as your honda.

I agree with inkspot too. While I was waiting for my Synergy to ship I had considered cancelling the order and waiting for the Aurora but I decided to stick with the Synergy. I want a helicopter that flys like a million bucks but I don't want to be scared to fly it for fear of smashing all of the bling. Or having it sit on the shelf collecting dust. Granted, it is still quite costly to crash either one of these helis but I know I will be overly conservative in my flying if I get the Aurora. Kind of like buying a 100,000 dollar hummer H1 and driving it off of the showroom floor and into some hardcore off road trail. Sure it was designed to do that, and it does it very well but who would be comfortable doing that knowing what could happen to that expensive truck? For those that cash flow is not an issue, this does not apply. But for the average Joe like myself, cash flow can be an issue. I also love the low parts count. The worst thing about crashing (to me anyway) is the entire evening devoted to a post crash rebuild because the heli took a real good beating. The Synergy is built like a light weight tank and seems to fit my bill perfectly (at least from what I have researched, mine is still in the box)

All of this posts about prices for the Aurora are based on a perception that is not correct.

The price of the Aurora is $985.00 and the spare parts prices are going to be very competitive. You'll be surprised at how affordable it will be to own.

Simply chose the heli you like because they both will be similar in price to own. There is no need for an online war about the cost to own because they are simply very similar.

Just buy one of them and have a good time with one of the only two new generation helis available today.

Augusto,

Insofar as parts count is a good measure of the serviceability of a heli, i.e., low parts count generally implies "faster rebuild", how does the Aurora parts count compare to the Synergy and to the Fury Tempest?

I planted my Tempest once and I was drowning in parts!!

I have heard rumors that the Synergy is maybe less than 1/2 of the parts count of the Fury. I don't know the exact numbers. It would really be helpful to know the parts count comparison between these three birds.

Thanks.

If the aurora is the same price as the synergy in the us why is it £100 dearer in the uk?

Sharam,

Yes I wholeheartedly agree. There is nothing more annoying than a jigsaw puzzle when you have to repair a heli.
The part count on the Aurora is also very low.

flaming blades,

I only know about US prices. I don't know what it takes to importing them to the UK so I can't give you an opinion.
