Hi All,
I have some new 9202 servos and I would like some opinions on using then in a Fury 60 Expert. Anyone using this setup?

I spent the weekend with Todd Bennett and Jason Krause flying two of their Furys.
Both Furys have 9202 servos, YS-61 ST-II, 401 Gyro and 9253 tail servo.
Jason did a demo for me (which I videotaped) and it was like watching the San Diego Fun Fly demo again. You can't tell it's not a 91.
The secret is in the thumbs.

Hi furyflyer,

Are you sure you have 9253's on the 3 CCPM servos. I thought more torque would be needed for the CCPM servos. Here are a few spec's that Tower Hobbies lists:

9253: 27.8 oz-in, .08 sec/60 degrees
9252: 91.6 oz-in, .14 sec/60 degrees
9202: 69.4 oz-in, .22 sec/60 degrees

The 9253 seems as fast as heck but is 27.8 enough torque? I have 3 of the 9252's for the CCPM and a 9253 for the tail. (still waiting for the 91 kit though)

Also.. I was planning on using a real crappy servo for the throttle. Anyone know if that is OK with the GV-1 govoner or does the GV-1 cause lots of motion on the servo causing a crappy servo to fail?

I think Coleopter is refering to Todd B"s two new school machines 1018-5 kits with 9202's on the swashplate, these are not JK's personal machines and yes JK still has 9252's on his 80,90 machines.

Here is what the fury manual states under system requirements.
five high quality servos (digital type preferred due to their superior centering and equality).
