Almost forgot:
Batteries for the RX. I would go with li-ion batteries but then again thats me. If you do go with li-ions get a regulator. Fromeco or duralites are a good choice.
load tester with a 1 amp load.
governor remax, aerospire's mutli-gov, gv-1, revlock. your choice.
throttle servo
HD switch-only use a HD switch. arizona reg works great.
loctite blue, green(good to have) and red
pitch gauge if you don't have one already
blade holders for 90 sized heli.

THANK YOU!

I have everything except:

the tri-flow oil and grease, glow extension, ELD fuel magnet((I have a .91 OS Hyper w/ pumup),

load tester with a 1 amp load (whats this and why do I need it?),

governor remax (whats this and why do I need it?)

I have a NiMH battery for the receiver.

Whats an HD switch? (Heavy duty radio on/off switch?)

Enzo

Thansk again~

the load tester is to check your rx battery. it lets you know if you have enough in the battery to safely fly. the NImH battery isn't probably going to cut it. it might give you 2-3 flights MAX of easy flying!
the governor is used to regulate the headspeed when doing 3d. it prevents it from overspeeding, underspeeding or both depending on which unit you get.
HD mean heavy duty switch.
you may also need a fan balancer and dial indicator.

Fromeco or Duralite. It's your choice either one is good. you can get Li-ion packages from both. I take it since you have some Ehelis that you have a good charger. make sure your charger can charge li-ion batteries otherwise pick up a charger from either company. be fore warned fromeco batteries and duralite batteries have different chemistries.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I'd read that the Aurora is currently only set up for the O.S. engine.

The Aurora can be used with the YS by re-tapping the thread to the YS thread just like they do with the R90. But if you're looking for noticeable more power then go for the OS-91SZ-PS Hyper

Carcrasher...

I looked at the duralite webpage for the receiver battery packs. Should I get a 2 cell, 3 cell or 4 cell? How many mah?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Why is "a must"?
Thanks,

You want 2 cells. It doesn't matter if it's 2 cell 2400mah or the 2 cell redundant 4000mah. I wouldn't use anything less than 2000mah. It's up to you.
freakout
the reason why it's a must is with the omi moded os or the ys using crankcase pressure it helps get everylast drop of fuel, you don't need a header tank with it thus saving some weight since the foam is soaked with fuel. It will also let you run the tank dry. something that a clunk doesn't always do. with my helis I've run out of fuel and never noticed it until the engine just died. no change in rpm or cackling.

Don't known why mine was lean when the fuel almost empty. I am about to take out fuel magnet and put header tank in.

I would go for 4000mAh packs which are configured as 2s2p giving you redundency and perhaps 8 or 9 flights if you aren't pushing too hard.
There are many advantages in using the OMI system with the Viperhead. You'll get much smoother performance, better flight times, more power as well as a better response to power demands. One thing I like about this is that being crank pressurised, the lack of nitric acid tends to prolong engine life, particularly on the rear bearing.

That's perfect. what charger are you going to use to charge it? Duralites have a different chemistry than other li-ion batteries so make sure your charger can charge them correctly. call duralite if you have any ?'s. what regulator are you going to use?

Carcrasher... I have 3 Lipo Chargers

I have an Astro flite 109. E -flite Poly 4 charger ((This is the one I will use to charge it)) and a hobicco 2 port lipo-ncad-NimH charger. Can those all charge it OK?

Thanks for all your help.

Enzo

P.S. Just called Duralite. Was told I should get their charger, and a load tester. THe load tester is probably a good idea, so I'm sold on that. But I'm discouraged that their battery will take 4-6 hours to charge. That ends my day of flying once the battery is below safe levels. I could get two batteries but then my total for everything is over $330 for a receiver battery setup!

Should I be looking at Li-Po batteries that I can charge faster with my own chargers? My receiver battery for the Align 600 charges in 30 minutes. Right now I'm stuck as of what I should do. Any thoughts?
