| Hello,
I just happened across an interesting characteristic of the Airtronics Stylus. You see, on my electric setups, I like to have the throttle "curve" for Normal mode be all zeros (0-0-0). I then flip into Idle Up and let the ESC handle the nice slow-start and smooth spool-up.
Well, it turns out that the Sylus' throttle hold setting is completely dependent on the values of the Normal mode throttle curve. With the Normal mode throttle curve at 0-0-0, the throttle hold setting has ZERO effect on the throttle position in Hold mode. It goes to the same position as 0 on the curve.
I came across this as I was trying to find the right throttle hold setting to be within the Schulze ESC's "throttle hold" pulse width (which results in a fast soft-start if you flip out of hold). I just couldn't get any difference in effect with settings from one extreme to the other.
Well, I finally hooked up a servo and quickly realized what was going on. I had to setup a mix in order to accomplish having a different throttle position in Hold than 0.
Thought I would throw this out there for anyone that might come across this same situation and happen to search here on RR.
