Today I got my "wings" at our club - meaning I passed the test (based on IRCHA level 1) and now I am deemed safe to fly at the club without instructor supervision. In related news I am having some consistent engine overheating, so to 'celebrate' I am thinking about upgrading from a 32 to a 37...

So what's everybody's progress around here? When I read about cybergirl taking off her landing gear a few weeks ago it gave me a little push to take off mine, and it's been much easier to make progress since then! Come on everybody, give us some updates for motivation in the next steps... I'll be working on figure 8s and circuits now.

Still not flying

Hi there, glad to hear you are gainning progress. I have had my heli for a few months now and i keep having problems with it. This guy is helping me out and showing me the ropes with flying. Hopefully soon the heli will be flyable. Keep up the good work. and sorry I couldnt help you out with the over heating. I dont know too much about helis yet, just starting out..

Congradulations Abeille, i soloed just a couple of weeks ago with my Evo 50. It only took me 2 flights on my Evo before my instructer felt i was qualified to solo.(I had never really flew before except for on the simulater) Now i'm doing loops and inverted hovers and i'm going to try inverted circuts. Just keep practicing and you will find yourself constantly improving. so your engine keeps overheating? what kind of engine is it, and what heli is it installed in?

well im working on smoothing out my flying and manouvers also learning some new manouvers too plus practicing to fly to music for next years 3d masters which i will enter sportsman class.

im excited also scared at the same time lol
