ok, so i sold my gv-1 to this guy and we decide to send our things off both ways at once, he would send a check for $110 and i would send the Gv-1, i send off the Gv-1. the next day he tells me he couldn't get it off and had to write a MO instead of a check, few days...nothing comes in the mail, i check with him, he claims he sent it and he tells me he recived his Gv-1, more days go by and still no money order, i keep pming him and he gives me this reply:

Hi JamesonMalpezzi

dude you act like i am trying to cheat you. whats up with that? i told you i shipped the MO order and thats exactly what i did. i will call the post office in the morning and see what i can do. past that, i dont know what to do. if i send you the gov back, i lose 110 on the deal. if i dont you lose 110. i dont know what to do........

on the same hand i could be accusing you of getting the MO, and trying to cheat me. but i'm not. we are both adults here(i think? im 23). i will let you know what the post office says...

thanks,
ryan

That middle qoute sounds a little fishy. It seems like he has done this before and already planned it out. Where does he live?

He can cancel the money order and resend another. The post office can check if the MO is cashed if I remember correctly. BTW, never send anything without getting the green good and clear first, remember that!

Dude, he's got 1 entry on the good guy list, granted everyone has to start somewhere but unless someone had a long history of no problems its reasonable for them to expect to send the money first, if they dont want to play that way deal with someone else.

Chris is correct about cancelling and resending a MO. Check the USPS link below:

It's a shame but it is true. You need to be very careful with anything that has anything to do with money. That goes for everywhere you go as well. RR is not immune to this type of actions. I will have to say I have had good luck here on RR with all of the transactions I have done here. I have turned down a few deals that didn't feel exactly right, and I am sure some of those deals would of turned out perfectly ok, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Don't you usually get two copies when you purchase a MO?
The top copy which is the one you send and the bottom carbon copy which the sender keeps as proof of purchase. Have him send you a photo or scanned image of the bottom carbon copy to prove he actually purchased the MO. Hope you get your money.

Deserve is a bit harsh. Expected to get ripped off might be more appropriate. Deserves infers he did something to justify getting ripped off. He took a chance with a new buyer......

The good guys list definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but it can help a little. I think you should also use any other means you can to try and weed out the bad apples. I am sorry to hear that you seam to have bean ripped off here, but you did take a chance. I am certainly not saying you deserved it though. I might have done the same thing in some situations, but not very often for sure.

If I was you I would tell mr so and so to get you another m.o. or send the gov back. That sounds like a scam and he is trying to scam you. If he doesn't have a reciept for the money order then you know its a scam. Good luck, Jimmi
