| right steve , if robert was around he would have kept the candle lit, and give everyone a run for there money. be nice to find him again - lets put out an ABP.
I originally got my blackstars from the west coast - a dealer named nick nicolas, his place was called vortex r/c .. any one heard from him too? but the b130/160 kits was only $1200 then early 80's .. and yes the frame kit from irwin were always overpriced as with everything else.. only had to change the upper frames once for alot less .
I got my msv2ems ccpm version from silas for about $800 a year ago. this one doesn't have the internal slider nor does it need it , but would be very interesting to see a ccpm with it .. what other heli's used this concept now?
the acrostar was a waisted effort and a wash , no significance to it .. the rotor head mixing was complicated with the xtra linkage added to the flybar and mix arms .. a machine without much merit .
after flying tsk for so many years , I admit I'm spoiled and partial to the what was the tsk line , advance concepts of what a fine heli should look and fly like .
well times change right - the only other one I feel comes close to it is Sitar modellbau .. another high end heli, a fine product, I still have their main and tail rotorblades and paddles - doubt we'll ever see one at the field or ff.
like you said - works of art .. |
