Synergy R/C Synergy N9 > re: Airtronic servo supports?

This is the first time I have ran airtronic servos and also used the servo supports, or at least the first time I have used them when I built something Does the airtronics have a differnt diameter serve screw then futaba and jr? Cause I mounted the servos on the synergy but the brass part of the servo support does not fit to thin of diamater of the Airtronics servos, does this pose a problem? It seems stiff enough where I can fly without then, Is there something I can use inplace of the ones that came with the kit, kinda universal like MA? Anyone running airtronics servos on there synergy, figured I would give it a shot since they are so quick and have incredible torque..

Hi
That is an interesting point, i have ordered airtronic 94758s for my synergy.
Are you saying that the thread won't fit the servo or that the brass mount won't fit the servo horn.

If it is the servo horn that is the problem, you can use jr horns on airtronic servos.

clarrification kinda

What I am saying, unless I am installing them incorrectly is that the Synergy has a servo "Stiffner" type of thing, just like MA does.. The servo's mount just fine, but normally the screw that mounts the servo horns down is suppose to be replaced with a brass type of servo support tthat is used in conjunction with the stiffner and the threads are differrent sizes, unless I am doing this part incorrectly..So basically I am just not using the stiffners at this point, just using the normal screw that connect the servo horn to the servo and not using the extra stiffner at this point, they seem very well mounted still, but wondering when the screw will be coming out that will allow you to use the stiffners with airtonic servos, or is tere already something I can use for this, the diameter of the screw is just just a different size on the vrass part. Can I get any clarrifiaction from a synergy rep?

Thanks

Airtronics uses 3mm screws just like JR. Futaba is different (2.5mm???).

2,5?

Must be 2.5, cause the brass stiffner attachments slide right inside the serve horn mount area..
wonder when the JR airtronics adaptation will be coming out or if the MA ones are the exact same size?

I bought the MA ones for JR and recently replaced a JR servo with my first Airtronics and found that they are the same thread. When I bought these from MA I noticed they had a separate part number for JR and Futaba. The OD of the post (ID of bearing) is 3mm also.

they

As stated they are mounted firmly in still, but it would be nice to have the Airtronic/JR adapters for them, can someone clarify if the MA ones will work or not with the synergy?

Somewhere is a previous post, I read that the N9 comes with both sizes of servo horn adapter, 2.5mm for most Futaba servos (except 9451's which use 3mm) & 3mm for Airtronics (& 9451's), just like the MA kits.

I will do a search & edit this post if I can find the previous thread.

I believe this was where I saw it:

http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/...t=synergy+servo

i know there are 2 sizes of the brass supports, one is bigger than the futaba. am not sure if the screw size is bigger for the jr, but if it is there are supports for it.

This was from j5coat's post.

Perhaps someone else who has a kit could confirm this. My kit should arrive on Tuesday.

Thanks,
Bob

I did the same thing with my Stratus & someone pointed out that the kit came with both sizes.

Please let me know if the N9 does also.

Thanks,
Bob

thanks

Thanks for the clarification, I will look for them when I wake up from my nap, the damn c-clips put me in a funk and got me frustrated and tired.

Hi
Included in your kit are 3 x 2mm for Futaba and 3 x 2.5mm for JR and the new Futaba 9351's, the Airtronic servos use 2.5mm
