How have you thought the heli has gone together with regards to the instructions? Pretty straight forward? Just got mine and looking and wondering how the build will go.

If you dont succeed the first time, try and try again. With heli's keep on trying!

The build up is really quite simple. Just make sure you read all the instructions on the page a couple of times and follow the instructions as written as you build it up.

I didn't dial indicate my hub and then got a dial indicator and checked it. It dialed at .006 but with about 10 minutes it was down to .003.

After that check the clutch runout and rotate it 180 and test. I got the whole stack out to the end of the start shaft to .003.

That's really about all there is to any special tricks of the trade to get it together.

All my friends that built the bird said: "Read the Instructions again" and I found what I was doing wrong.

It's a very rewarding build and the link lengths are exact and correct and programming the radio is trivial.

Have fun.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback also got a PM statin a few comments on the build.. The instruction illustrations are very nicely done and clear. I believe what you say about reading everything a few times or lets say looking at things a few times on the instructions. The insutrctions deffinetly aren't very heavy on the words, but good on the illustrations. As stated at the begining of the manual, you should have previous building experience and I believe that to be true.. The packing seems very nice too, everything is done by bags and steps which helps out alot of not searching everywhere for parts, probably the nicest I have seem things packaged and matched up to actual steps out of the helis I have had experience with. The packaging is very nice as well, really two boxes within 1. Honestly if it wasnt for the canopy, tail boom and a few other things like side frames, the thing could ship in a shoe box. Very clean and good job packaging

Building

The synergy builds VERY nicely, with the exception of having to go and get a thin socket to fit the fan to the engine...

The parts have gone together perfectly so far and each of the bags per steps makes it very easy, it is going alot quicker than I imagined, when I initially looked at the kits and the instructions.

How long has some of your guys build times been? Is there a preferred blad to us for this heli or will Radix 710 work just fine?

Building it up following a 3D exploded diagram is pretty straight forward and I din't find it any harder than anything else i've built previously. As already stated though it's not for a real beginner with no experience in modelling and helicopters. It took me around 18 hours to build and that included painting the canopy completely in between starting and finishing.

Only thing I've found is that it seems that the quality control packing the individual bags isn't that good as it seems a lot of people were missing the odd item. I had only 3 main grip bearings instead of four and my fuel tank vent nut had no thread in it!

I fly mine currently on Radix 710's with an OS91SZH (non-pumped with no other mods to it) and 30% Wildcat CY blend and it just loves them. No problems turning such a wide blade through 3D and they auto great on such a free running auto hub!

You'll love it!

ya

ya, I have a few screws missing here and there, but have backups from other kits or spares, so all is well, overall, I am very happy so far with the build process. I will probably get through the servo assembly part tonight, that looks like it will take alittle time, althought it always does in any heli to get them centered, etc..

I will be running the airtronic digital high torgue/high speed servos, any known issues with them other than the $100 per piece price tag on them?

I too just got mine 2day. I am very new to choppers and I am used to setting up the chopper as per the guidelines of the manufacturers. Currently flying Raptor 50. Please tell me what should the setttings be for different flight modes such as Normal/Idle1/Idle2 in the Pitch Throttle Curve. The Thunder Tiger manual has a full page dedicated to it. Unfortunately the Synergy manual does not have one.

haha

Haha, you deffinetly wont get that from the synergy manual

I will leave that question to someone that feels alot more comfortable on answering that question than myself. The manual illustrates the build, no words per say
