Please tell me where to look for this vibration issue.

Please note: The main blades are dead on with balance. They are v blades carbon fiber and are statically and dynamically balanced about as perfect as possible.


At hover the vertical tail fin shakes at a high frequency and the canopy edges (past where they attach to the post) shake/wobble at a high frequency.

I have tried many different engine tunings, that is lean to rich. Seems to act the same.

Any ideas?

vibration issues

i had the same thing happen to one of my 50's.i checked to run out of the output shaft,bearings,belt tension and then i checked a set of carbon blades and that was to prob.on a different 50 my head speed was to slow and it caused a tail vibration.just a few thinks to check.

If its high frequency its probably not in the blades. Check the tail, also the fan and start shaft are known issues.

Take the tail case apart and make sure that the pin that holds the gear to the shaft is not rubbing against the tail case.
