| I feel we're comparing ables and oranges here. True, a Trex may be preferred due to it's larger size but the Hornet is a fantastic flyer and a little lost due to Trex mania.
I recently picked up a another Hornet. This time it was the X3D kit since they have recently reduced their pricing. I purchased the original H2 and admit it being somewhat of a tedious build for a first timer but none the less a learning experience MS has made many improvements since then, such as heavier rotor blades, fuselage differences, ballraced tail grips, Bell Hiller mixer, auto-rotation main gear and the swash is pressed with a brass bushing. They are also now selling the X3d kit for $105.00 dollars! mscomposit.com also has plans to introduce a couple new versions. An ARF in either the standard kit version or the new Pro Version (also in kit form) which includes all metal upgrades. I remember see very attractive prices for this version.
I'd would like to see MS make a few improvments to the base kit such as including the upgraded swash that is included in the new Eurocopter kit, and incorporate a new servo placement such as CCPM servo mounts designed by DUZI. Otherwise it's a great micro.
