When I try to start my Vigor CS it makes kind of a popping noise, but when it is running everything is normal. Could this be in the one way bearing? Any ideas?

You need to look at the starting shaft !! thay get worn down real fast ..

Start Shaft!!

Does JR make an upgrade for this, or a harder shaft? This machine has a YS80 with only about 15 flights on it. I really don't want to have to change this out every 15 to 20 flights..

NO Thay don't !!! But it do's not go bad that quick !!! If i was you, i'll drop the motor and take a look in there any way !! bearing and shft.. something is going on there ???

Hi Law, I have a standard Vigor with a YS80 and it makes a funny noise too when I put my starter to it. I thought it was the one way bearing so I replaced it, noise is still there? I grounded her until I figure out what's causing the popping noise and I am getting rf hits.
