Hey I thought this was a Heli forum

I like the foamy Anthony....I would even fly it

Don,

I would like to install the 8311 on the rudder. I always use the highest Torque servo's especially with metal gears on the rudder...Rudder takes alot of abuse when landing and taking off. Using it on the throttle is a waste. I would stick the left over 821 on the throttle.

Let me know what where you want me to stick the 8311...choice is up to you.

The more I play with radio in my hands the more I like it for what it is? We will have to see how well it works with a CCMP Heli.

No, you are not being unfair. You gave him enough time to respond or even PM you. I've been lucky so far & not have a deal go bad. Crossing my finger.

This deal will not end bad. My brother lives about 30 minutes from this guy, but I hate to put him out. He is one of those Texas types, so I know he will have no problem giving this guy a visit and doing what is necessary in retreiving my goods.

Thanks
Anthony

Jeff,

I had a prospective member just PM me and said no. He said he doesn't want to pay $250 plus the 50 membership to fly in our club. Please think before you post your request and take a vote on mebership fee.

Thanks
Anthony

Anthony, isn't the $250 as a donation??? As I've read in your club's forum. I wouldn't join either if that fee ($250) is mandatory.

Yes it is, but a prospective member saw that and tucked tail and ran(as I would have too).

Thanks

Why would you run??? 250 bucks is for a donation from were i stand a donation can be any amount. You guys hafto sit down with Jeff and figure out what the club needs and wants THE BIG PICTURE... That will give a # on how much money people will hafto pay and so on. A club like this can only happen if you continue to grow and pull $$$ and new members in. If you want your cost LOW everyone should bring in 3 new members a year. Everyone wants to bitch about dues and so on think of the guy who started your club and the amount of effort, time and $$$ he is out to get things going for YOU...

One thing that i will bring up is a open day fun fly and help day for new people to the hobby with a $10 donation that will get you some help from a member and a day of flying... Get some donations from your LHS and raffel them off...

Guys its only a hobby and the only thing that will keep a field like this going is $$$$... If you guys just wanted to fly together find a guy with some grass and HUCK those helis.. But it will not work out if the 15 members you have now cant see the light at the end of the tunnel together.

if thats the case you guys will hafto sit down and see what you get for 250 bucks... We at OCHC have the HOOTERS girls come out to the field once a month... We also have raffels and bring in sponcerd flyers .. Now we dont pay for the pros they just come out and fly... But the HOOTERS girls cost a couple $$$$

I guess you just don't get it. A club is a business and as such needs to be run as a business. If you cap your membership then you can't constantly be expanding the club membership. Setting an arbitrary amount for dues w/o knowing your operating expenses is dumb.

I would think most clubs have better things to do than spend money on HOOTERS girls (well, maybe not).

If your club is looking for some ways to cut costs why don't you save a few bucks and go visit the HOOTERS girls rather than have them come visit you. It's a lot cheaper that way.

Ace what did you miss in my QUOTE? Does my quote not say these things ????

ACE this is not about OCHC....... Also OCHC IS a FREE club NO DUES NO MONEY to anyone... Thats what makes OCHC the best club out there.. If we do something like HOOTERS girls,BBQs or a club party people donate and step up and take care of the bill... If you guys are worried about a price increse from 35 to lets say 250 bucks a year to fly at a graet field and hang out with great people you may want to find a different place to fly... I amazed that this is such a problem !!!

This will be my last post on this.. Good luck guys !!!!

I think there's a bit more to running a successful club than dues and HOOTERS girls.

Maybe that's the problem. Maybe the HOOTERS girls should be running the club!

That would certainly increase attendance at the meetings.

They are actually. Just not the ones from the "A" squad. A little harder on the eyes.

Any of you guys use GPS. I going to get a unit, but don't know much about them. I saw a garmin and a couple tom tom units that looked nice. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Anthony
