Gonna fire up the SE in the living room again?

I'm waiting on my starter to come in. I can't even get my starter to crank it.

Thanks
Anthony

Loosen the glow plug a hair. Tighten it up after you get it going.

See what happens when you step into the big boys game

Too much of a PIA. The 91 has an unbelievable amount of compression though.

Thanks

When I built My 90SE is when I picked up the starter I have now. The little Hobbico starter kept stalling out on me as well. Then I smoked the wires inside the Field box. Time for a bigger/cordless starter!

I just picked up a torqmaster 180 and it started it right up with my half dead packs. Problem solved!

gotta fly the Bell again. I mad a drastic CG adjustment foreword using about 12oz of lead, it was way tail heavy. I'm excited about flying it with all the adjustments I made.

Wow that's alot of lead! How was the flying, and how fast is the FIOS?

Thanks

My day was spent trying to do some spring cleaning in my hobby room. I'm trying to come up with a way of getting the helis off the floor.

Now I'm off to another corner.

Thanks
Anthony

Im doing better about getting out aren't I? I at least fly once a week now. It really helps to have a group of heli guys to fly with.

Thanks

I'll second that one Anthony. I love to fly but flying alone is just friggin boring to me. I guess that's why I don't use the sim either, it becomes like work at that point.

The Bell is flying just fantastic. Flat bottom blades are a little different in the wind as they develop a lot more lift into the wind than they do down wind. The CG correction I made really helped as well. Now I just have to find that perfect pitch/throttle curve combination to give it a more scale look and blade sound. I'm close!

For some reason the Revlimiter on the stratus isn't working and I can't figure it out. Everything is showing like it's working it just doesn't lower the head speed as it should.

FIOS is up and running. The new digital TV signal is pretty nice as well. Hopefully I won't be fussing with any more internet issues for a while.

Hi..I've been reading these posts and am damn jealous. Your club seems very active here on RR and on getting out and flying together. I would love to meet up with you guys and check out your field if that would be ok. I have been looking for all heli club and new people to fly with.

Anyone from exit 135 on the GSP?

here is an idea

If you guys are so unhappy with things then go find another place. Go to your county's park department and try to get a field. Don't criticize mercer. People can share ballfields, basketball courts, etc. but TWO groups can'r work it out on a field. Sounds like you should stop pointing fingers at the county and the other group and realize how immature you really are.

GEE!!! inspectorgee:

Tell that to the 5 club members airplane people whole act like they own the park being petty having problem sharing the field with a year old heli club with currently 15 members and growing (from comradery and helpful assistance to other people) limiting its growth, raising fund to help improve the field and its maintenance for its use.

The way I see it is they simply do not want the Heli Club to grow - as a start limiting it use of the field to 180 days a year max! All us heli guys have not problem sharing the flying field as if they really go out and fly there anyway!

From what I gathered the Heli Club was formed because these Airplane Guys do not want Heli Pilots joining their small and puny club. Most Flying Clubs have both Airplane and Heli Pilots accounting the fact that Heli Pilot are minority - it actually the opposite here due to their belligerent and unsocial attitude (zero heli pilot - the fact that they wont allow you to join if in any case you fly both fixed and rotary wings)! What the kind of policy is that - do these people really deserve the use of a public park with such policy?
What is next - exclusive use?

One of the plane guys finally shows his ugly face! Your club is the only reason there is any bickering going on here. You guys are a bunch of pussy ass sissies who run the the park commision everytime we cough. We will continue to fly at OUR field and continue to grow a club that will actually use OUR field.

Thanks
Anthony

If you guys actually flew there I don't think anyone would have a problem dividing out the flying schedule. It's having our club restricted to flying every other day and letting the field sit vacant the other 180 days a year.

I flew there all summer and only on one occasion did I run into one of your members. He and I had a great time flying together and talking away most of the morning.

The bottom line is that there are guys out there that aren't a member of either club, so until the county makes up a new rule that only club members can use the field, they can fly there whenever they want. It's only us club members that are restricted.

Like I said, if any of your current members actually flew, I don't think any of us would have an issue. It's letting the field sit empty on our off days that seems a waste.

You've got your way, so be it. Now just unlock the friggin gate to the "Public park" at 6:00 like you said!!!!!

(InspectorGee) = Planker Troll !

Hey Fellas, just got out the Hospital yesterday. Damn jealous of the flying weather you all had last weekend, looked nice throught the hospital window

Sucks to hear bout the even and odd days. From what I can see, out of the 5 or so planker pilots that fly in that club, how many days out of each month will they actually show up to fly? Or, is this all for spite ...
