| Hi
I was out flying my Vigor CS at the w/e and it kept having some sudden violent shakes from side to side (If though gain was much too high etc). It would only do this briefly and when the throttle was dropped it would come back under control and I could add throttle again. This mainly seemed to occur when I was turning right and pointing into the wind (did happen a couple of other times though). It should be added that this is just gently flying around - no wild aerobaticvs or anything as I can't do that yet.
When I got it back down I noticed that 1 of the teeth from the bevel gear has been stripped and a couple of others look a bit worn. I have just ordered a new bevel gear but does anyone know of a solution to stop this? I have done some reading around on the net and it seems to have happened to a few people. Curtis' machine seems to have a different split gear hub adapter (the metal part the bevel gear bolts to) which goes out completely under the entire gear and not just the central part as on the stock model. Does anyone know of any other solutions to stop this from happening?
Check out this link to a picture of Curtis' mod - from a previous post

Note the bevel gear has a metal disc under it right out to the edges.
Can you buy this adapted carrier anywhere?
To Summarise my questions :
1) Is the shaking from side to side what you would expect with a few teeth stripped from the bevel gear or should I be looking for another cause?
2) Does anyone have any solutions to the bevel gear teeth being stripped under gentle flight conditions
3) Can you buy Curtis' modified gear carrier anywhere?
Many thanks
