...or just the first one with the audacity to point out that 99% of the posts in this "womens forum" are totally misplaced, and would be better suited in other forums?

The fact that it's a man or a woman posting is irrelavent, the point is that the subject matter itself often has little to do with women pilots! Getting harrassed at a field? Sure, that's relavent. What sim do you use? What does that have to do with being a woman?

Sorry, just my opinion...

Maybe the ladies feel more comfortable chatting in here. It is a little bit clique-ish, but if it gets them involved who cares?

Heh as far as men posting I think you are just as guilty as anyone.

Hi All,

I asked that this forum be started. Yes, it is a little clique-ish. But I've been on RR for a few years and only ran into a couple women who post.

Since this forum has started I've met 20-30 women pilots. I am pleasantly surprised. Yes there is crossover in topics, this forum was not meant to be a segregation, just a place to meet and chat with other women.

The point is to foster the hobby and have fun. So if we attact a few more folks to helis, it all good.

Cheers,
Leslie

Its a totally understandable question, considering the type of guy who typically gets into the hobby probably doesnt have a girlfriend-wife-ever talked to a woman.

because, if they had theyd know that women converse about topics in a completely differently manner than men. so, while the topic of *which sim do you fly* over on the *MAN* side might consist of flight characteristics, the avialability of model, and the realistic nature of true flying they represent--the feminine discussion will most likely take on a flavor of how pretty the scenery is; how to make a custom icon of the program to match their shoes; or methods of decoupage for the transmitter.

so, no i dont think any of the topics are out of place.

there. i managed to offend both sexes at once. im proud of myself

if it ain't broke…break it.
