Putting my Synergy together and wondering whether in most kits the additional shim above the bottom main shaft bearing block is required.

I haven't added it as the manual states if required and I'm now wondering whether I should of added it. Thoughts please

So far my build is going well, although still have yet to get the hang of those pesky circlips!!!

Has anyone received decals with their kit as there were none in my box?

Nope, no decals in my kit either....

However the rest of the heli is going together fairly well. Off to the 3D Masters in the morning, so hoping to have her finished and flight worthy for Monday night with a bit of luck....

No decals in my kit but never mind i've got a painting plan anyway.

Also only got three main blade grip bearing's and another odd one - very disappointing! Luckily they are the same size as the Raptor 90 ones so I could swap one out.

Whilst building I snapped the head off one button head bolt when tightening and also snapped a ball in the blade grip arms. Luckily the spares bag contained another ball but it was a b** to get out. Must try not to be too heavy handed...

I did add the shim at the bottom main bearing block and it seems ok with it....

All built now and waiting to finish the canopy spraying today. Should be in the air tomorrow hopefully!

i found that i didn't need to use the shim. also, when you install the main shaft, press down on it while moving the set collar up against the upper bearing in its block.

try it without first and verify that the mesh is correct before adding it.

hans

No shim... built two of them, tail mesh was perfect without the shim..
