HI THERE
IT SEEMS TO ME THE REASON FOR THE PINION STRIPPING GEARS ,IS THE FACT THAT THE ANGLE SET ON
THE PINION DOESN'T MATCH THE ANGLE SET ON THE GEAR
ITSELF AND IF PINION IS REMOVED THEN PLACED ON THE
GEAR RATHER THAN THE GEAR SHAFT COMING STRAIGHT
OUT FROM THE GEAR IT SLANTS DOWNWARDS ABOUT FIVE
DEGREES WHEN FULLY MATED. IN OTHER WORDS WHEN
THE BOOM IS PLACED HORIZONTAL TO THE MODEL, THE GEAR
IS NOT FULLY MATED WITH THE PINION HENCE LESS TRACTION.
SO TO GET THE CORRECT MESH ON THE GEAR MY BOOM
NEEDS A DOWNWARD SLANT WHICH LOOKS AWFUL.......!

CAN ANYONE SHED ANY LIGHT ON THIS PROBLEM OR IS THERE
AN UPGRADE GEAR OUT THERE WITH THE CORRECT ANGLE SET ON IT?

when you set up tail pip do you pass the bolt in the top hold in the monting bracket?? if so you got the tail pip set up upside down !!!! and that way it do's not mach up !!! take it from me i did it before !!!

FOR THE IDEA. MY BOOM STILL NEEDS A TILT DOWNWARDS
FOR THE GEAR TO BE FULLY MATED ANY MORE IDEAS?

Do you have a pic? and dont YELL push the (caps lock) button once
is there any way you can take it to someone who has one or a hobby shop?
The frames are pre-drilled and only alows for a small movement so Im at a loss.

I did the same thing also, double check the bolt hole on the rear bracket. It is offset to oneside. I had mine on the wrong side and had exactly the same problem until I checked it. I too thought I had built it exactly to the book.

Hi,

I have built 3 tube drives from kits and not had a problem. I admit most my flying is F3C, but I do dabble in 3D with my CS. I set all my gear meshes with a thin piece of paper, and then fly.
