| Metal or aftertmarket tail case while nice is only eye candyDont waste your money, do the grip upgrades to run at higher headspeeds on the main and tail. The stock tail case hasnt been changes because it doesn't need "fixin".
The tail case has proven problem free. In my 6 years of flying and enduring countless crashes, the stock Eco tail case never broke, failed, or exhibited anything less than trouble free function. Fast backwards aerobatics hold fine with the stock tail case. There are pics in my gallery if your are interested.
The only questionable part of the tail are the tail grip's bearing array and bolts which can be fixed by either the FC-26 thrust bearings from boca or a second set of radial bearings which fit without any mod.
For higher headspeeds you need to use a set 2 mm 10-9 hardened alloy machined bolts in the tail hub. The bolt change is critical as the eco was not designed to run the headspeeds lipos now grant us. Since you appear to be troughing your field as manefested by the green tail blades( ), I recommend the hardened tail bolt change IMMEDIATELY! A few guys have also switch to 3 mm bolt by retapping the hub and replacing with the appropiate bearing set. Even this is not needed if your headspeed is kept below 1700.
