| I think that's the key, whatever you learned first is what's best for you. My first heli instructor years ago told me to pinch, and I've done it ever since. I've had guys at the field see me flying and ask me how I do that, why I do it, etc. The only answer I can give is it's the way I've always done it, and while I can fly thumbs only, I'm not as smooth on the controls, and can't seem to make the tiny corrections necessary to smooth things out. I've seen thumbs guys who've done it forever who can be just as smooth, and able to make tiny corrections, so I think it's just what you are used to.
